Hegge Named to Great West All-Tournament Team

OREM, Utah -- University of South Dakota women's basketball player Amber Hegge has been named to the Great West Conference's All-Tournament team, the league announced on Saturday.

Hegge (So., Crofton, Neb.) averaged 18.5 points and six rebounds per game at the conference tournament. She had 21 points and eight rebounds in USD's opening-round 57-49 victory over the New Jersey Institute of Technology on Thursday, and followed that with 16 points, four rebounds and three blocks in the Coyotes' loss to North Dakota on Friday.

Hegge was also a first-team all-conference selection. She led USD in scoring (13.3 points per game), rebounding (6.4), assists (78) and blocks (34).

USD finished the 2009-10 campaign, its second during the transition to Division I, at 15-16.
